We are looking for an organized and efficient Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

The Line

Cook will be responsible for preparing food items according to recipes, maintaining cleanliness in their workstation, and ensuring that orders are prepared in a timely manner. The ideal candidate has excellent cooking skills, can handle a fast-paced environment, and is committed to upholding the highest standards of food safety.

Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.

Order Execution: Work closely with other kitchen staff to prepare dishes according to customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and cooking of food items to prevent contamination.

Inventory Management:



Monitor ingredient stock levels, notify the kitchen manager of shortages, and assist with inventory rotation.

Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and consistent output during service hours.

Experience: Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a commercial kitchen is preferred.

Skills: Proficiency in cooking techniques, knife handling, and kitchen equipment use.

Certifications: Food Handler Certification is required by most Canadian provinces.

Team Player: Robust communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate with the kitchen staff. Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
