Using infographics, data visualizations and charts, we create visually-intuitive content on business, investing, technology, and more.

Over 10 years later, we’re now a leading media company with: ~13,000,000+ monthly site visitors ~2,000,000+ social followers. Our work is seen and shared regularly by senior leaders including Liz Ann Sonders, Tim Ferriss, Michael Dell, and Steve Case. We're on the hunt for a passionate and driven writer to join our content team and help in developing ideas and briefs for visualizations, finding datasets, writing articles, and supporting team members in various editorial tasks.

Having knowledge of AI tools and how they can be used for content research, planning, and writing is a significant asset, with AI skills and usage key to this role and its development. Your day-to-day tasks will include working directly with your team’s producer, designers, and other editorial members in order to develop and write high-quality content on a wide variety of topics, ensuring it aligns with Visual Capitalist's standards and audience interests.



You should be based in the Vancouver area and be comfortable coming into the office to share ideas and experiences with colleagues.

Collaborative & Accountable: You are a team player who is comfortable collaborating with designers to visualize data and concepts, enhancing the storytelling for your content.

Naturally Curious: You enjoy delving into what’s capturing the attention of the current news cycle, staying on top of industry trends, and learning all about new topics, technologies, and concepts. Research & Data-fanatic: You possess solid research skills and are comfortable working with data and using it as inspiration for your writing in creative ways. You have at least two years of experience designing content that simplifies complex ideas and a demonstrated understanding of data and how it can be visualized.

A general understanding of economics, demographics, and markets along with prior experience in a media publisher/agency are highly valued assets for this position.
