Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to confirm they are in optimal condition for daily routes
- Verify delivery orders, documentation, and freight accuracy before and after each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries,
mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Assist with basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor vehicle issues to minimize downtime
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or other industrial machinery is preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols in a delivery environment
- Familiarity with automotive repair basics and vehicle maintenance practices is a plus
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics roles demonstrates reliability and efficiency
