Working with our Global Parts Team, the Demand Planner role forecasts and allocates inventory. The role relies on the use of statistical analysis, inventory demand planning tools, problem solving skills, and collaboration with other departments to achieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals and meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. Ensure KPI's such as fill rate and inventory turns are met using statistical analysis and inventory demand planning tools such as forecasting, DRP, and min/max. Work closely with Supply Chain to achieve these goals. Make recommended adjustments to KPI's and inventory demand planning tools based on changes in demand and market trends. Plan & fulfill all worldwide Regional Parts Distribution Center's (RDC's) inventory requirements. Continuously improve inventory demand planning tools, methods, and approach. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field an asset. 3-5 years of experience in a Demand Planning position, with IBF training &
certification is desired.
~ Extensive skills with MS Excel and strong mathematical abilities required. ~ Strong knowledge of Demand Planning/Forecasting systems in a multiple location Distribution setting. ~ Knowledge of Supply Chain processes to work closely with Supply Chain staff. ~ Experience using ERP software packages. JD Edwards experience an asset. ~ Knowledge of inventory KPI’s. ~ Knowledge of agricultural industry an asset. ~ Problem solver that can use objective analysis and evaluation to make decisions and develop strategies. ~ Learner with an interest in personal development, seeking feedback from other sources. ~ Curious by nature and wants to know how things work or why they do not, how can they be fixed or improved, with a commitment to continuous improvement. ~ Customer Service driven with a sense of urgency to handle issues in a timely manner.
