Position

OverviewMultimatic’s Structures & Suspension Design Department is looking for talented Design Engineers to help develop automotive structures and suspension products for the world’s leading OEMs. In this role, you’ll take components from concept through to production, helping ensure they meet performance, cost, quality, and manufacturability targets.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate innovative design concepts for automotive structures and suspension products to satisfy OEM customer requirements.Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings with GD&T;, and technical documentation.Collaborate with program management, process, and quality teams at Multimatic’s manufacturing divisions to support DFM, DFA, and VA/VE activities.Support validation activities including CAE, testing,



and design reviews.Support department R&D; and innovation activities related to automotive structures and suspension systems.Analyze test results and support root-cause investigations to drive design improvements.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.Communicate directly with customers to understand technical requirements, provide design solutions, and program updates.Adhere to company safety, quality, and environmental standards.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.Minimum 3 years of proven experience in automotive component design, including relevant co-op, internship, or full time industry experience.Proficient in CAD software (CATIA or NX preferred) for 3D modelling and GD&T; drafting.Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for high-volume manufacture and assembly.Understanding of DFMEA, DVP&R;, structured root cause analysis methods.A genuine passion for mechanical design and the automotive industry, demonstrated through personal projects, Formula SAE participation, or hands-on experiences with vehicles.Multimatic offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, professional development opportunities, and a cooperative engineering environment where innovation and technical excellence are valued.This is an in office position at the Markham location.The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:$57,658.00 - $107,000.00To learn more about Multimatic, check out our youtube channel - you are interested in this position, apply by sending us your cover letter and resume.As part of our commitment to ensuring our employment practices are fair, accessible, and inclusive of persons with disabilities, recruitment-related accommodations for disabilities, are available upon request throughout the recruitment and assessment process for applicants with disabilities.
