Position Description

CGI is seeking a DevOps & Cloud Application Support Consultant to join our team and support the development, deployment, and ongoing operation of contemporary digital banking solutions. In this role, you will work across development, infrastructure, and operations teams to build, maintain, and support cloud-native applications while driving automation, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring application reliability. This opportunity is ideal for a technology professional with experience in DevOps, cloud platforms, application support, and infrastructure automation who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative Agile environment.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity. Candidates may work from any CGI office across Canada.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Support the day-to-day operation, stability, and optimization of enterprise banking application environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application, batch processing, and infrastructure issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Windows batch scripts, PowerShell automation, and operational processes.
- Build, deploy, and support application releases, configuration updates, and environment upgrades.
- Support automated job scheduling and batch processing using enterprise scheduling tools.
- Perform SQL Server troubleshooting, database refreshes, connectivity validation, and operational diagnostics.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities while ensuring service level commitments are achieved.
- Collaborate with project teams, infrastructure teams, and client stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable banking solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, documentation, and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and support for production issues, launch activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role





- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or application support.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development and support.
- Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments, including T-SQL scripting and troubleshooting.
- Experience developing automation using PowerShell.
- Experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud-native applications, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience supporting application deployments, infrastructure automation, and operational support.
- Experience managing SSL certificates and application configuration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Assets The following qualifications would be considered assets:
- Microsoft IIS administration.
- .NET or ASP.NET application support.
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Grafana, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring and observability platforms.
- Web or mobile application development.
- Experience supporting digital banking or financial services applications.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
