Position Title: Digital Rundown Producer (ICI Nord de l’Ontario) (French Services) (On Site) Permanent Position Language Requirement: French Language Skills: French (Reading - C - Advanced), French (Speaking - C - Advanced), French (Writing - C - Advanced) At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. Permanent position based in Sudbury.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, News and Programming, you will oversee Radio-Canada’s digital platforms and content for Northern Ontario. You will supervise content production and the rollout strategy for our regional web pages (including news articles, vertical videos and feeds). You will help develop, structure and implement strategies to promote our content, engage audiences and foster community discussion.

You will develop and design special digital initiatives and assist with Regional Media projects, managing content rollout and promotional strategies across all platforms. You will work daily with the Assignment Producer to ensure that production aligns with audience needs, quality standards and CBC/Radio-Canada Journalistic Standards and Practices, while planning and monitoring digital coverage. You will keep up with the latest trends in digital technology, applications and tools, and create opportunities to share your knowledge with station staff.

Support the Assignment Producer in supervising production staff assigned to digital platforms. Assist in developing and implementing digital objectives for the station. Edit digital news articles and text accompanying audio/video content.

Write digital news articles. Supervise content rollouts across our regional web pages. Support program teams in their digital and mobile initiatives. Support the design and implementation of special digital projects.

Backfill for digital reporter/editors as needed.



Produce and post value-added content for regional web pages, digital articles and social media. Format audio/video material for publication on our regional web pages.

Keep up with the latest digital trends, technologies and tools, and share your knowledge with colleagues. Assist the Regional Communications team in developing digital and mobile components for events. At least three (3) years’ relevant experience helping create and publish written and/or video content for the web and social media.

Bilingualism (English/French) required. Familiarity with issues affecting French-speaking minority communities in Northern Ontario. Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada journalistic and programming policies. Familiarity or experience with Scoop is an asset.

Creative mindset. Candidates must submit a portfolio of three (3) digital projects they have produced and launched. Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing. A mandatory Criminal record check.
