We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment for young children. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities and interactions
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean learning workplace
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative atmosphere
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, by adapting activities as necessary
- Contribute to the assessment of children’s progress and participate in team meetings for planning next steps
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience or experience working directly with children preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Ability to support basic math concepts through playful learning activities
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and supporting young learners
- Reliable, patient, energetic, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment
