Duties
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities tailored to infants and toddlers, encouraging exploration and learning through play.
- Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes emotional security and positive relationships with children and families.
- Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, communicating regularly with parents and caregivers.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans and educational strategies that meet each child's unique needs.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills to ensure a respectful, inclusive space conducive to learning and growth.
- Engage in ongoing career development related to early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 Years experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or early childhood education setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including child psychology and age-specific milestones.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English for interacting effectively with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities, documentation, and time efficiently.
- Competency in computer operation.
- First-aid/CPR Certification
- Valid certifications in childcare or early childhood education; additional training in special education is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide children positively while maintaining classroom discipline.
