Hello I am posting this ad on behalf of a family that is looking for a part time/relief companion. The gentleman is 89 and is in outstanding shape both physically and cognitively. The shifts could be one of 3: : morning 10:30-1:00pm or : evening 5:00-10:30pm or there may be the occasion whereby you would be needed for a few consecutive days to fill in for vacation days OR Overnight sleep shift in private bedroom The person chosen for this position has their own time off from 1:00pm-5:00pm and does not need to remain at the house He lives in Dundas.

There is a set routine that he moves through each day. No PSW care to be done as he has PSWs who attend 3x weekly.

Some aspects of this position: : getting him up and dressed in the morning : assist in his walking for balance using a transfer belt : he will independently complete his morning bathroom routine but will require assist and getting from sink to the toilet : assist in his walking to his stair lift and from the stair lift to his motorized wheelchair : prepare breakfast and administer puffer - he independently takes his medications and retrieves them from his blister pack : general tidiness, dishes, dusting, vacuum and was floors,



empty urinal when he is downstairs etc. : will read newspaper and work on crosswords : can independently go outside on front porch on nice days : snacks for his lunch and prep for dinner and cook at 5pm : independent time sitting in his lift chair watching tv : is quiet and likes his independence and doing his own thing : bedtime routine similar to morning bathroom routine : straight to the toilet then into bedroom and into bed : He is able to direct you through his routine if needed Experience working with elderly clients with physical disabilities an asset Living local would be ideal however if not, a car is definitely an asset for yr time off or you can stay on the premise during this time Client is amazing and very appreciative to anyone who assists him. No hearing or sight concerns. Must love dogs as there is a full time beagle and a part time Welsh Springer Spaniel.

Rate of pay to be determined by family based on experience, personality and availability. Position offered to females and males. The person hired will have training providing.
