Contaminated Sites Project Manager – Remediation Program Management Team WSP’s Remediation Program Management (RPM) team is seeking a Contaminated Sites Project Manager to lead risk management and closure of contaminated sites across Canada. The role involves designing, overseeing field work, preparing technical reports, and managing client relationships. Create a safe and positive environment for colleagues, ensuring compliance with health and safety plans.
Prepare health and safety plans and emergency response plans. Schedule field staff and subcontractors. Track project accounting, reporting, and budget requirements under WSP Master Services Agreements.
Train junior staff in environmental practices (Phase I & II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, remediation oversight). Train staff on site‑specific health and safety. Manage client relationships and collaborate across the national RPM team.
Provide guidance and mentorship to environmental scientists.
Develop a personal career development plan with specific goals. Comply with WSP Health, Safety & Setting (HSE) policy and client HSE policies at all times.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (sciences or engineering). Minimum 8 years of experience in contaminated site assessments. Analytical skills to recommend next steps for client sites. Business acumen and financial management experience, including annual budgeting.
Understanding of Ontario environmental regulations.
Experience in the oil and gas sector is an asset. NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $81,100 – $107,700 WSP is committed to the principles of employment equity.
