Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling zones in compliance with health regulations
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely order completion during busy evening hours
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with food prep, stocking supplies, and ensuring quality standards are met
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for productive order processing and cash handling
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash transactions and order calculations
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued highly
