Role Description: The Event Volunteer is an on-site role based in Vancouver, BC. This role will support the execution of of the Vancouver Hot Sauce Festival and after-party, hosted at The Skript Kitchen. Tasks include welcoming and assisting guests, setting up and breaking down event spaces, coordinating with staff and partners, and helping ensure smooth event operations.

Volunteer may assist with event registration, guest inquiries, and basic promotional activities. The role also involves maintaining a clean, safe setting, supporting event staff as needed, and representing The Skript Kitchen’s values of professionalism, hospitality, and collaboration.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to support guests and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Event Planning and Event Marketing experience or interest to assist with organizing, promoting, and running events.
- Basic Sales or outreach skills to help promote events, workshops, and partner offerings when needed.
- Ability to work on-site in Vancouver, BC, on September 12, 2026
- Reliable time management, attention to detail, and ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols in a food production environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced setting and standing for extended periods during events.
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, or food service is an asset but not required.
