Bouquet Café is a family-owned flower shop and coffee bar on Robson Street, where specialty coffee and craft florals live under one roof.

We are looking for an experienced part-time barista who can work confidently and independently after learning Bouquet Café's menu, recipes, and procedures.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is not an entry-level barista position. We are looking for someone who already has a strong professional barista foundation, including:

- Consistent milk steaming and free-pour latte art during service
- Dialing in espresso and adjusting the grinder throughout the day
- Cleaning and backflushing a commercial espresso machine
- Working independently on the espresso bar
- Opening and/or closing café procedures
- Working efficiently during busy service

We will train you on Bouquet Café's specific menu, recipes, equipment procedures, and SOPs, but applicants should already be comfortable with the core barista skills above.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare espresso drinks, matcha lattes, teas, iced drinks, and seasonal beverages to our standards
- Maintain consistent drink quality, presentation, and latte art
- Dial in espresso and make grinder adjustments as needed
- Complete opening or closing procedures independently once trained on our SOPs
- Maintain a clean, organized bar and café throughout your shift
- Provide warm, attentive and professional customer service
- Restock supplies and complete cleaning, garbage, and recycling duties as required
- Occasionally provide light support to the floral side of the business

We are a small team, so everyone contributes to keeping the entire café clean, organized, and welcoming.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Minimum 1 year of skilled barista experience
- Current/recent hands-on espresso-bar experience
- Confident milk steaming and consistent free-pour latte art
- Hands-on experience dialing in espresso and adjusting grinders




- Experience cleaning/backflushing commercial espresso equipment
- Ability to work independently after learning our procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable taking responsibility for your shift
- Warm and professional customer service
- Weekend availability required

SCHEDULE This is a permanent part-time position, generally 2–4 shifts per week.

Typical shifts are approximately

- Opening: 7:30 AM–2:00 PM
- Closing: 2:00 PM–8:30 PM

We are looking for someone who genuinely wants ongoing part-time employment rather than a temporary position while searching for full time work. COMPENSATION & STAFF BENEFITS

- BC minimum wage + tips
- Up to two complimentary eligible staff drinks per shift
