Fashion Receiving Associate:

Position Overview: The Fashion Receiving Associate plays a key role in getting recent fashion and accessory shipments ready for the sales floor. Working closely with the our Inventory Management Team, 37 Fashion Manager, and Fashion Merchandiser, this hands-on position is responsible for accurately receiving, organizing, hanging, tagging, and quality-checking incoming product so it moves smoothly and correctly from the receiving door to the floor.

This role requires strong attention to detail and consistency — every garment needs to be correctly hung, priced, and tagged so pricing and sizing are always easy for guests to find, and security tags protect the product without damaging it. The ideal candidate is organized, methodical, and comfortable following established processes precisely.

Position Details:

Reports To: Inventory Management Associate

Position Type: Part Time (3 days guaranteed, with opportunity for more hours)

Schedule: Weekdays or weekends, with flexibility around shipment arrivals, Mondays are mandatory

Location: Shelmerdine Garden Centre Ltd. (own transportation required; no bus service available)

What You'll Be Doing:

- Receiving & organization of all new shipments
- Receive, log, and track incoming fashion and accessory shipments, keeping the receiving area and communication boards current and accurate.
- Prioritize and process shipments in coordination with the IMT Fashion Receiver, Boutique Manager, and Buyer.
- Sort, hang, fold,



and backstock product using proper hangers and storage methods to keep merchandise floor-ready and well cared for.

Tagging & Merchandising
- Apply pricing and security tags accurately and consistently, so garments are easy to shop and presentation-ready.
- Follow established tagging and hanger standards to protect product quality and keep displays organized.

Quality Control & Communication
- Check received quantities against invoices or POs, flagging discrepancies or damaged items to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with the Boutique Manager, Fashion Merchandiser, and IMT Fashion Receiver, and ask questions whenever a process is unclear.

What We're Looking For:

- Previous retail, stockroom, or fashion receiving experience is an asset.
- Comfortable with repetitive, hands-on physical work and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow detailed, established processes.
- Comfortable working in a space with fluctuating temperatures; light, dress-code-compliant layers recommended.
- Ability to work independently while keeping others (Buyer, Merchandiser, Boutique Manager) informed.
