Join ERM as a Field Archaeologist based in Smithers, BC. This role focuses on conducting archaeological surveys and ensuring compliance with safety regulations in diverse landscapes. As a Junior Field Archaeologist at ERM, you’ll engage in field studies and inspections that enhance cultural heritage understanding. This full time, 9-month position offers hands-on experience in excavation and archaeological research while working outdoors under various conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in archaeological surveys and excavations
- Inspect land surfaces for historic resources
- Maintain health and safety compliance
- Assist in various related tasks as needed
- Collaborate with team members in field settings
Requirements:
- Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology desired
- 0-3 years in archaeological survey work
- Enrolled students who completed field school welcome
- Strong ability to work outdoors and adapt
- 2 weeks on, 1 week off working schedule
