Job Title: Field Service Engineer/ Medical Equipment Technician - Diagnostic Medical Imaging Equipment (CT/ MRI/ NM/ US/ X-ray)
Location: Toronto, Canada
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $90K - $120K per annum
Additional Pay: Bonus pay based on performance

We’re looking for a highly skilled, experienced Field Service Engineer who shares that same commitment to excellence.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer with a strong background in diagnostic medical imaging equipment, specifically CT/ MRI/ NM/ X-ray/ US modalities. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing diagnostic medical imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Installation, maintenance, and repair/ fix of multivendor CT/ MRI/ NM/ X-ray/ Ultrasound Medical Diagnostic Imaging equipments
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues in a timely manner
- Conduct routine inspections and thorough preventative maintenance on equipments to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repairs.
- Testing and Operations: Setup test tools to check performance of electronic parts/ medical equipment parts
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding service needs and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards.
- Promptly fulfill all administrative duties which includes and are not limited to submitting Service report – including technical notes, test results, project schedules, PM checklists, Expenses etc.
- Utilize Service Maintenance Management Systems for tracking service requests, maintenance schedule, utilizing parts inventory effectively and submitting expenses.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements with great focus on personal and safety of others.
- Calibration: Adjust tools and instruments using OEM Technical manuals
- Design support: Build and test new product prototypes
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a field service engineering role in diagnostic medical imaging equipments (CT/ MRI/ NM/ US/ X-Ray).
- 3 yrs Post-Secondary Diploma or 4 yrs Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering)
- Robust knowledge of medical imaging equipment, including CT/ MRI/ NM/ US and X-Ray modalities
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team members
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with an attitude towards driving client satisfaction.
- Willingness to travel as required for on-site support.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification in medical imaging equipment (e.g., CET)
- Experience with diagnostic medical imaging equipment manufacturers (e.g., GE Healthcare, Siemens, Philips)
- Knowledge of diagnostics medical imaging industry standards and regulations (e.g. CSA, FDA)
- Experience with service maintenance management systems (SMMS)
