We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, operational analysis, and business performance initiatives across a agile organization. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and senior leadership, to deliver meaningful insights, improve financial processes, and support strategic decision-making. This is a six-month contract position.

The role is hybrid, with four days per week in our North York office. Support monthly close activities through financial analysis, account reviews, accrual preparation, and variance investigation Prepare recurring financial reports and performance dashboards for business leaders and management Analyze departmental spending and provide commentary on key trends, risks, and opportunities Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives Present actionable insights to stakeholders to improve financial and operational performance Inventory & Supply Chain Finan Coordinate financial processes related to inventory movements, product shipments, and supply chain transactions Monitor inventory balances and prepare regular inventory reporting packagesMaintain cost databases and support the accuracy of inventory-related financial records Prepare and reconcile inventory and in-transit accruals as part of the month-end close process Investigate and resolve inventory-related variances and discrepancies Capital Planning & Investment Analys Support the administration and tracking of capital projects and investment spending Assist in the preparation of financial justifications, business cases, and return-on-investment analysis Provide post-implementation analysis and reporting on completed projects Commercial & Revenue Analyti Deliver sales and profitability analysis to support commercial decision-making Generate reports related to customer performance, sales trends, and business profitability Support the administration and reconciliation of customer incentive and rebate programs Validate financial data and ensure accurate reporting of commercial activities Participate in testing and validation activities related to system enhancements and reporting tools Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and financial processes Partner with Finance, Operations, Technology, and Commercial teams to streamline workflows and strengthen controls Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business performance and reporting accuracy Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline ~4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, accounting, or business finance ~ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools ~ Experience working with ERP systems, business intelligence platforms, or data visualization tools is an asset ~ Exposure to capital investment analysis, operational finance, inventory accounting, or commercial finance is considered an asset #
