Dessert First is looking for a passionate, hospitality-driven FOH team members (Servers/Baristas) to join our team.

We are a popular, fast-paced 30-seat brunch restaurant and bakery known for amazing food, delicious desserts, and a loyal community of wonderful customers. We are looking for people who genuinely loves people and can help us take our hospitality and customer experience to the next level.

This is a multi-skilled position that includes serving, barista duties, bakery sales, bar service, hosting, food running, and supporting the overall operation.

What you will do:

- Welcome, seat, and serve guests warmly and attentively
- Follow Dessert First’s steps of service and maintain high hospitality standards
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages
- Provide responsible bar service, including beer, wine, and cocktails
- Sell cakes, pastries,



and other bakery products
- Make menu recommendations and upsell appropriately
- Respond professionally to customer questions and concerns
- Clear tables, wash dishes, restock, and maintain clean FOH areas
- Complete opening and closing responsibilities

Requirements:

- Valid Smart Serve and Food Handlers certification
- Strong multitasking, communication, and time-management skills
- Availability to work weekends, including Sundays
- Available to work at least 3 shifts per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Experience:
- Barista: 1 year (required)
- Serving: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Smart Serve (preferred)
