Events Coordinator Store - CAL-EAST HILLS, AB Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress‑free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.

Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.

Event Coordination

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events. Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities. Facilitate and implement party add‑ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc.

Communicate events with clients and store team members. Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed. Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.

Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.

Customer Experience

Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions. Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments. Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.

Assist with Omni‑channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Participate in the truck unload,



stocking and planogram (POGs) processes. execute Company policies and standards. project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members. Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.

Experience working with children and children’s events. Organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem‑solving skills. Retail and/or customer service experience required. Public retail store setting, with some outdoor work for retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks; Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

All public areas are climate controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work may occur. Applicants in Canada must satisfy federal, provincial, and local legal requirements of the job.
