Sir Sam’s Inn & Spa is looking for a friendly, dependable person to join our year-round team as a Front Desk Agent.

Your main role will be at the front desk, welcoming guests and helping throughout their stay. You’ll also be cross-trained in food and beverage service and work scheduled serving shifts in our restaurant.

This gives you more prospect for consistent hours throughout the year, some variety in your work and the chance to earn gratuities when you’re serving.

A Little About Us

Sir Sam’s Inn & Spa is a small, four-season, adults-only resort on Eagle Lake in the Haliburton Highlands. While we share a similar name and local history, we operate independently from Sir Sam’s Ski & Ride.

Being a smaller resort means our team works closely together. Our front desk, restaurant, spa, housekeeping and maintenance teams know each other, communicate throughout the day and help each other when things get busy. We’re looking for someone who would enjoy being part of that kind of team.

At the Front Desk

- Welcome guests and look after check-ins and check-outs
- Manage room, dining and spa reservations
- Answer phone calls, emails and guest questions
- Process payments, deposits and gift certificates




- Work with the rest of the resort team to look after guests throughout their stay

In the Restaurant

- Work scheduled serving shifts as part of your regular role
- Take food and beverage orders and look after guests throughout their meal
- Serve food, wine, beer, cocktails and other beverages
- Enter orders and process payments through the POS system
- Work alongside our kitchen and restaurant team during setup, service and closing

This Could Be a Good Fit If... You enjoy working with people, like some variety in your day and are comfortable moving between front desk and restaurant service.

We’re looking for someone friendly and reliable who communicates well, takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a small team.

Previous experience in hospitality is helpful, but who you are matters more to us than where you’ve worked. Your attitude, reliability and the way you treat guests and coworkers are what we value most.

Pay: From $18.10 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 – 40.0 per week
