Southern Specialties LTD is looking for a motivated and dependable general contractor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn valuable trades, and is looking to do a variety of work.

No two days are the same. We work on a wide variety of residential, commercial, agricultural, and custom projects, allowing you to build experience across multiple trades.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our team, you'll assist with a variety of projects, including:

- General construction and property maintenance
- Indoor renovations including drywall, painting, sanding, etc
- Outdoor renovations such as siding, sophet, and fascia
- Carpentry and handyman repairs
- Painting and staining
- Welding and metal fabrication
- Automotive, trailer, and boat repairs
- Equipment maintenance
- Operating hand and power tools safely
- Keeping job sites clean and organized
- Working alongside experienced team members to complete projects efficiently

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is:
- Has at least one year of experience as a general contractor
- Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights up to 15 feet




- Able and willing to safely operate hand and power tools
- Has good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Physically capable of lifting materials and performing manual labour
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in producing quality work
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Requirements
- Must be a Canadian citizen
- Must reside within the Windsor-Essex or Chatham-Kent region
- Valid Class G driver's licence or reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work 30–40 hours per week
- Steel-toe work boots (preferred)
