Role Description The Generative AI Engineer will design, develop, and deploy AI solutions that enhance search, recommendations, content generation, and customer experience across Natura Market’s digital platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and fine-tuning models, integrating LLMs and other generative technologies into production systems, and collaborating with product, marketing, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable AI features.

The role involves maintaining robust data pipelines, monitoring model performance, ensuring responsible AI practices, and continuously optimizing models for accuracy, speed, and relevance. This is a full-time, in office position based in Mississauga, ON.





Qualifications

- Strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, or related field, with experience in Python or similar languages for AI and machine learning development.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI and LLMs (e.g., transformer-based models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG pipelines) and relevant frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Skills in data engineering and MLOps, including building data pipelines, deploying models to production, working with cloud platforms, and monitoring model performance.
- Understanding of information retrieval, recommendation systems, and NLP techniques for search optimization, personalization, and content generation in an e-commerce context.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations stakeholders, translating requirements into technical solutions and communicating complex concepts clearly.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline; industry experience in e-commerce or retail is an asset.
- Commitment to ethical and responsible AI, including attention to data privacy, bias mitigation, and model transparency.
