Job Purpose The generator technician will be responsible to maintain and repair standby, commercial mobile, recreational vehicle and portable generators. Most the work will be at customer’s site, while some work will be done in-house

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities includes, but not limited to:

- Perform preventative maintenance on gas & diesel residential, agricultural and commercial standby generator
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair problems with generators (engine, alternator & control) and transfer switch
- Conduct load bank testing on standby generators
- Start-up and test new residential, agricultural and commercial standby generator

Qualifications

- Knowledge and experience with generators, engines and controls
- Knowledge and experience with natural gas & propane systems and engines




- Knowledge and experience with diesel engines
- Abilities to work alone and in team environment

- Valid driver’s license
- Present a professional company image
- Ability to talk directly to customer
- Willing to train right candidate
