About Us

Aaron’s Tree Care is a professional tree service specializing in tree removals, pruning, storm damage response, and tree health. We are looking for a hardworking, safety-minded Groundsman/Groundswoman to join our crew and play a critical role in supporting our climber arborists on every job site.

Position Overview

As a Groundsman/Groundswoman, you are the backbone of the crew. Your primary responsibility is ensuring the climber has everything needed to perform work safely and efficiently while maintaining an organized and hazard-free work zone. This is a physically demanding outdoor position requiring teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

- Assist climber arborists throughout all phases of tree removals and pruning operations.
- Set up and maintain a safe, organized job site with proper traffic and pedestrian control.
- Operate chainsaws safely for bucking logs and processing brush.
- Feed brush into wood chippers while following all safety procedures.
- Haul, stack, and load logs, branches, and wood chips into trucks and trailers.
- Prepare and organize ropes, rigging equipment, lowering devices, and climbing gear.
- Manage lowering ropes and rigging systems under the direction of the climber.
- Fuel, clean, inspect, and maintain chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and other equipment.
- Keep communication clear with the climber using hand signals and verbal commands.
- Rake, blow, and leave every property cleaner than when the crew arrived.
- Assist with stump grinding, planting, storm cleanup, and other tree care services as required.
- Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.




- Follow all company safety procedures, including proper PPE use.
- Represent Aaron’s Tree Care professionally with homeowners and clients.
- Be prepared to work in varying weather conditions and on physically demanding job sites.

Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- Chainsaw experience is considered an asset.
- Previous landscaping, forestry, construction, or tree care experience is an asset but not required.
- Valid G driver’s licence preferred (DZ licence is an asset).
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
