Duties

- Prepare and cut halal meats according to traditional and safety standards using appropriate butchery techniques
- Ensure all meat products are handled with care, maintaining freshness and quality throughout the process
- Package meat products securely for retail display or customer orders, adhering to food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, tools, and equipment in compliance with health standards
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable advice on different cuts and preparation methods




- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure product safety
- Support inventory management by receiving deliveries, checking quality, and organizing stock efficiently

Skills

- Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat preparation
- Strong knowledge of halal meat standards and religious dietary requirements
- Skilled in meat cutting techniques, including deboning, trimming, and portioning
- Excellent food handling skills with a focus on hygiene and safety protocols
- Ability to operate knives and butchery equipment safely and efficiently
- Good customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates familiarity with food preparation environments
