Operator is crucial in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure, responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently. They must ensure that all operations are in compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. The role demands precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols to effectively contribute to the project's success.

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, rollers, loaders, skidsteers, and rock trucks in accordance with safety practices and procedures. Perform daily pretrip inspections and maintenance checks on equipment and report any defects or needed repairs to the supervisor. Complete daily hazard assessments and identify controls.

Participate in daily toolbox meetings and complete role specific training. Assist in site preparation, including clearing, excavation, grading, and backfilling as per project needs.

Considered an asset:



GPS & Grade Control experience Rigging Technical Skills Understand site layout, grading plans, and excavation requirements. Capable of reading and understanding project drawings and specifications. Problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing job site conditions.
