Elevate the human resource functions of the Government of the Northwest Territories as a Human Resource Officer. Lead initiatives in recruitment, employee development, and labour relations to foster a skilled workforce. As part of a dedicated team, you will report to the Superintendent in the Southern Region, managing recruitment and staffing activities.
Your role involves advising managers on hiring practices, coordinating performance planning, and promoting employee recognition programs. Additionally, you will assist with compliance related to recruitment activities and facilitate effective service delivery within departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate staffing processes and selection committees
- Advise on effective recruitment strategies and compliance
- Support labour relations through communication and meetings
- Assist in employee development and training initiatives
- Process documentation for employee status updates Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of two years of HR experience
- Familiarity with public service staffing policies
- Robust organisational and interpersonal skills
