Posting End Date: May 20, 2026 Employer: Shared Health Site: Shared Health - Virden Health Centre Department / Unit: Virden Diagnostics Reason for Term: Maternity Leave Anticipated Shift: Days;Evenings;Weekends;Under the general supervision of the SENIOR/CHARGE TECHNOLOGIST, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Shared Health the General Duty Radiology Technologist – MRT performs assigned Diagnostic duties in accordance with their scope of training and experience.

The General Duty Radiology

Technologist – MRT assist radiologist in performance of radiologic procedures, assist with training and orientation of technologist, participates in instructing students, provides direct patient care, administrative and operational support functions required as part of the multi-disciplinary team approach of service delivery. Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Imaging Technology. Successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists certification exam (CAMRT).

Must have the ability to start and establish IVs or commit to successfully completing the departmental Intravenous Certification Program within 3 months from the date of hire (site specific).



Physical health to meet the requirements of the position and be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time without resting. May be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress.

May be required to work with provincial safety and health officer or other employees in the continuous development of protected work practices/place. This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions in Shared Health that combine to equal more than 1.0 FTE.
