We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Income Tax Preparer to join our dynamic financial services team. Duties

- Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individual and business clients using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant tools
- Analyze client financial documents, including income statements, expense reports, and investment records to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Conduct thorough review of client data to identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
- Assist clients with understanding their tax obligations and provide guidance on compliance requirements
- Reconcile accounts and perform audits on financial records to verify accuracy before filing
- Maintain organized records of all tax documents, supporting schedules,



and correspondence for future reference
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure all filings are compliant with current standards

Qualifications

- Proven experience in income tax preparation or related accounting roles with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Strong analysis skills to interpret financial data accurately and identify discrepancies or opportunities for savings
- Knowledge of auditing processes, account reconciliation, accounts payable management, payroll processing, budgeting, and investment tracking
- Familiarity with financial services industry standards and practices is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining high accuracy standards
