Empower Indigenous youth as an Indigenous Support Worker with Wetaskiwin Regional Public Schools. This full-time role focuses on advocacy and relationship building within the Pigeon Lake community. We're looking for a culturally-grounded individual to join our Learning Support Team and enhance the educational experience for Indigenous students.

Your responsibilities will include addressing obstacles to attendance and wellness while fostering a positive school environment. Collaborate with families and organizations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities:

- Build positive relationships with students and families
- Work with teams to ensure safe learning environments
- Assist in overcoming attendance and basic needs barriers
- Organize cultural programming for student engagement
- Manage and track attendance and progress data Requirements:
- Diploma in Human Services or similar field
- Solid understanding of Plains Cree culture
- Proven experience in collaborative settings
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector check
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Support Indigenous students in achieving their full potential through dedicated advocacy and community connection.
