Job Details Description COMPANY PROFILE Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY The Steamfitter-Pipefitter Apprentice is involved in connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging. This work exist indoors is typically physically demanding.

Location: Edmonton Fabrication Shop - 17th ST Start Date: ASAP Rate: $28.84-43.25

JOB DUTIES

Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S; standards

Select type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints

Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks

Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders

Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings

May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be an Alberta registered apprentice (or hold an apprenticeship certificate recognized by AIT) CSTS-09 or CSTS-20

Knowledge of hydro testing is an asset

Able to work well in a team environment





Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field

Organized and self-motivated

Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
