Person who, in addition to his or her duties as a nurse, makes, due to the absence of a doctor permanently at the outpost or in a dispensary, assessments of users which allow the doctor to carry out distance diagnosis and determine appropriate interventions. She performs activities and interventions that are generally reserved for doctors in other work environments. Must be a member of the Order of Nurses of Quebec.
Fonctions Spécifiques/Specific functions
Chargé(e) d’identifier les besoins de santé des personnes, de contribuer aux méthodes de diagnostic, de prodiguer et de contrôler les soins infirmiers que requiert la promotion de la santé, la prévention de la maladie, le traitement et la réadaptation ainsi que de prodiguer des soins selon le guide des ordonnances collectives du CSTU. La personne sera appelée à travailler sur les différents programmes du CLSC : suivi infantile, périnatalité, vaccination,
ITS, santé scolaire, maintien à domicile, soins courants et soins d’urgence. La personne sera également appelée à faire de la garde d’urgence sur rotation. Toutes autres tâches connexes.
Exigences spécifiques/Specific Requirements
- Member of the O.I.I.Q.; Must have successfully completed training in Enlarged Role and/or have experience in community health and isolated outpost (Enlarged Role).
- Working experience in an Emergency Department and in obstetrics would be a major asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French, spoken and written, is essential; Inuktitut is an asset.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

- All positions may be subject to a selection process, including tests and interviews.
- Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement will be given priority when qualifications are equal.
- Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometres from the locality in which they are called upon to perform their duties will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per status. Shared lodging or transit if necessary.
- Nordic premiums apply only when the home port is in one of the northern villages; the amounts of Nordic premiums indicated are "without dependents".
