Shifts: On-call/casual Booking prisoners in and protected keeping of prisoner’s personal effects while in custody. Continuously monitor prisoner condition through an electronic monitoring system. Perform data entry and basic computer use.

Prepare notes on unusual/significant circumstances for potential court appearances. Be familiar with and adhere to all Saanich Police Department goal policy and procedures. Keep holding facility stocked with inventories supplied through Police Department property and supply.

Fingerprint civilians applying for criminal record checks, pardons, visa applications etc.

Personnel in the event of an excessive prisoner-to-guard ratio. Off site Guard duties of prisoners as required. Must hold a valid Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate (OFA 2) or willing to be train.

Must be fluent in English (written and spoken). Ability to remain in control under trying conditions. Willingness to undergo training as required. Training A variety of shifts to maximize work-life balance!
