The Journeyperson Electrician is responsible for planning, supervising, executing, and documenting electrical works on a variety of projects, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to project timelines, budgets, and scope.
The Journeyperson
Electrician will lead the team through all stages of the project—from mobilization to completion—while upholding company values and client expectations. In addition to overseeing other electricians, they will provide leadership, training, and mentoring to ensure high standards of performance and safety are met.
- Read and interpret construction drawings (architectural, electrical, mechanical, etc.) as well as other related contractual documents
- Conduct high quality work aligned with company expectations while providing quality control on all installations on the project
- Assist with site leadership to electrical employees,
including Apprentice Electricians, through monitoring, intervening in the moment, providing feedback, and documenting when not adhering to Power Pros or clients’ policies, procedures, and/or safety requirements
- Support Project Managers, Site Superintendents and Lead hands as needed
- Install, test, and commission electrical equipment and systems
- Participate in site-related meetings including site walkthroughs, checklists, and safety meetings
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and secure
- Ensure the site is protected, work is done according to safety requirements, daily safety documentation is completed, and proper PPE is worn
- Adhere to all of Power Pros Policies and Procedures, Health and Safety Manual, and COR standards.
