Role: L3 – Network Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Location: Quebec City, QC

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 Days WFO

Duration: 6–12 Months contract with high possibility extension

Language: Bilingual – French and English

We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and maintain network infrastructure, network security, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco networking devices, and SD-WAN environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for network infrastructure availability and performance, troubleshooting, security changes, disaster recovery, governance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide support for Cisco switches, routers, and wireless devices.
- Provide support for Palo Alto firewalls.
- Implement firewall changes to support required access while adhering to security policies.
- Maintain computer networks, routers, switches, APs, firewalls, SD-WAN devices, and other physical hardware.
- Install, troubleshoot, and configure network equipment, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to employees and management.
- Implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices.
- Support governance and reporting activities.




- Take overall responsibility for network infrastructure availability and performance.

Required Qualifications

- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience leading and guiding network teams.
- Network engineering technical certification equivalent to Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience with Network Administration, Network Security, Networking Standards, Network Protocols, NIST/FISMA standards and controls, SIEM platforms, networking tools, and network hardware configurations.
- Strong ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Robust problem-solving, analytical, communication, and people management skills.
