We are seeking an experienced

Lead Sign Fabricator to oversee and perform custom metal fabrication for commercial signage projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with

MIG and TIG welding, aluminum and steel fabrication

, and the ability to lead fabrication projects from drawings through final assembly.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and participate in the fabrication of custom signs, sign structures, frames, cabinets, and architectural metal components

.

- Perform high-quality

MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and steel.

- Read and accurately interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications

.

- Measure, cut, bend, form, weld, grind, and finish metal components.

- Set up and safely operate fabrication equipment, power tools, and welding equipment.

- Ensure fabricated components meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.

- Coordinate daily work and provide direction to fabricators and shop personnel.

- Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure projects are completed according to production schedules.

- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and recommend practical solutions.

- Inspect completed work for weld quality, fit, finish, and overall workmanship

.

- Work closely with production, design, installation,



and project management teams.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication environment.

- Ensure team members follow established safety procedures and production standards.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of custom metal fabrication experience – required.

- Extensive hands-on

MIG and TIG welding experience – required.

- Strong experience fabricating with aluminum and steel – required.

- Proven ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications

.

- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience in a fabrication environment.

- Strong knowledge of metal cutting, forming, fitting, welding, grinding, and finishing processes.

- Excellent measuring and layout skills.

- Robust attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

- Ability to troubleshoot fabrication and production issues independently.

- Ability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced custom fabrication shop.

Preferred:

Previous experience in sign fabrication, architectural signage, custom sign cabinets, channel letters, structural sign components, or related custom manufacturing
