This full-time position involves assisting lawyers by drafting documents, organizing client information, and aiding in community outreach. This role emphasizes a client-centered approach to addressing legal challenges faced by Indigenous peoples, fostering a supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file legal documents for cases
- Update client files in the Clio management system
- Review and sort legal disclosures from various sources
- Maintain organized scheduling for legal meetings
- Engage in community events to build relationships
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of legal assistant experience
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultural practices
- Solid skills in record keeping and MS Office
- Ability to handle confidential information effectively
- Team-oriented mindset valuing collaborative work
