Job Summary

Lotus Terminals is seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Surrey, BC. This position is designed for someone with the ambition, work ethic, and problem-solving ability to develop into a future Operations Lead or Operations Manager.

We are willing to train the right person. Previous management experience is not required. What matters most is attitude, accountability, communication skills, and a desire to build a career in transportation operations.

Duties

- Coordinate freight shipments and ensure successful execution from pickup to delivery.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams.
- Monitor shipment activity and proactively address service issues.
- Assist with customer inquiries, pricing requests, and operational problem-solving.
- Support daily operational planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate records and shipment documentation.
- Learn transportation, warehousing, transloading, and logistics processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service.
- Develop the skills, knowledge, and leadership capabilities required for future advancement into Operations Lead and Operations Manager roles.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Professional and confident when dealing with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Surrey, BC.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, warehousing, distribution, freight forwarding, customer service, dispatch, or operations.
- Experience coordinating multiple tasks, schedules, customers, or service providers.
- Experience working in a deadline-driven setting.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field is an asset but not required.

Pay: $39,332.28-$89,718.83 per year
