Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Long Haul Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances to deliver freight efficiently and on time. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will ensure smooth logistics operations across various routes.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate large commercial trucks across long-haul routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip




- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to address minor mechanical issues during trips

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) suitable for long-haul operations
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation such as forklifts
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy vehicle operation and freight transportation
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks and related equipment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance requirements
