Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mainline Excavator Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty excavators to facilitate infrastructure projects, ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency at every stage. Duties

- Operate mainline excavators with precision, adhering to project specifications and safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of excavators and related heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers
- Assist in the setup of construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and preparing foundations for subsequent work phases
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment across job sites
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and efficiently
- Support horizontal drilling operations when required, ensuring alignment and safety protocols are followed
- Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, equipment usage, and safety checks to ensure compliance and accountability

Experience





- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction workplace, with a focus on mainline or large-scale projects
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers
- Demonstrated ability to operate additional machinery including horizontal drills, bulldozers (dozers), loaders, graders, and paving equipment
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols and best practices for heavy equipment operation
- Prior experience working with heavy machinery brands like Caterpillar is highly desirable
- Knowledge of construction processes including grading, paving, excavation techniques, and site preparation
