About the Opportunity

- Lead and support the financial close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial results while maintaining a solid control environment and reporting requirements
- Partner with various business stakeholders to understand the business
- Analyze and present financial information to drive value-add decision-making
- Provide guidance on new transactions, projects, processes and accounting standards while maintaining strong governance and controls
- Review, analyze and summarize accounting for contracts, policies and complex transactions
- Drive transformation of financial close activities through process optimization, centralization, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Lead and support strategic projects and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Manage and develop teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

About You





- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA designation or equivalent finance experience is considered an asset.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience applying IFRS accounting standards, including expert-level knowledge of IFRS 15 (Revenue) and IFRS 16 (Leases).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with automation, AI, machine learning, or data analytics tools is an asset.
- Support a culture of innovation - a personal interest in upskilling in latest digital and technology trends
- Passion to understand operational business and its linkages to financial processes
- Highly organized, with the ability to independently plan and execute on multiple priorities and demonstrate confidence and composure in times of uncertainty and stress.
- Ability to partner and build relationships to influence and engage with various cross-functional groups and management levels towards a common vision
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues and tasks by leading resolution

Salary Range

$100,000 – $110,000 / year

You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
