About the Role

The Marine & Facilities Managerat Moutcha Bay Resort is a senior operational leader responsible for overseeingmaintenance, marina operations, fleet management, guided fishing coordination,fish processing, campground, and groundskeeping departments.

This role ensures the safe, reliable, andhigh-quality functioning of all marine services, resort infrastructure,vessels, and outdoor amenities. Working closely with the Resort Manager andHospitality & Services Manager, the Marine & Facilities Manager drivesoperational excellence, regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, andexceptional guest experiences.

When assigned as Manager on Duty, this roleassumes full responsibility for the overall resort operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all marine, maintenance,fleet, fish processing, campground, and grounds operations to ensure seamlessdaily performance.
- Lead marina services including docks,fueling operations, moorage assignments, and rental fleet readiness.
- Ensure all vessels, equipment, docks,buildings, power systems,



and water systems are maintained to the highestsafety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement daily, weekly,and seasonal work plans, including winter repairs and seasonal readiness.
- Ensure compliance with TransportCanada, WorkSafeBC, DFO, CCG, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead and support supervisors acrossdepartments through coaching, scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Manage departmental budgets, inventorysystems, purchasing, payroll oversight, and cost-control initiatives.
- Conduct regular safety inspections,emergency drills, and lead the Joint Occupational Health & SafetyCommittee.
- Monitor resort systems, respond toemergencies, and provide leadership during marine or environmental incidents.
- Drive continuous improvementinitiatives, asset management planning, and long-term operational enhancements.

Qualifications

Required:

- Hospitality mindset.
- 3-5 years of experience in marine, or outdoor operations management.
- Supervisory experience leading technical, marine, or maintenance teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a safety-focused, compliance-driven environment.
- Experience with marina operations, fuel systems, or fleet management.

Preferred:

- Experience managing remote fishing lodges or wilderness resorts.
- Knowledge of west coast saltwater fishing operations.
