Elevate your career as a Mechanic I - Controls with the University of Waterloo. This full time position centers on HVAC system maintenance, installation, and operational troubleshooting. As part of the Facilities - HVAC and Controls department, this permanent position requires expertise in maintaining building automation systems.

You will be responsible for ensuring systems operate efficiently, performing necessary diagnostics, and documenting activities. The University values diversity and seeks applicants who can enhance its inclusive culture. Key Responsibilities:

- Execute inspections and repairs on HVAC systems
- Maintain and install control systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot building automation platforms effectively




- Adjust systems for improved performance and air quality
- Report on all maintenance tasks and inspection findings Requirements:
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Must be a licensed electrician or refrigeration mechanic
- Five years of relevant BAS systems experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of control principles and installations
