Record all procedures followed and technologies used during the editing process, with the knowledge and understanding that this information is subject to disclosure. Prioritize court ready media or documents to meet defined deadlines. Determine which proprietary software programs to provide to Crown Prosecutors.

Complete conversion of media and editing requests.



Educate CPS Officers, Crown stakeholders regarding media submissions. Exposure to graphic and disturbing media. A 1-year certificate in Justice or Police/Legal Studies, Digital Media, or a closely related field and a minimum of 1 year of experience working in policing, law enforcement or court disclosure workplace.

Preference will be given to candidates who have a completed 2-year diploma in Justice or Police/Legal Studies, Digital Media or a closely related field. Advanced proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required. Previous experience processing or editing videos is preferred.

Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Analysis (LEVA) Level 1 and Level 2 - Certified Forensic Video Technician is an asset.

Working proficiency with media programs such as: Evidence.com, Adobe Premiere Pro, Handbrake and Izotope is also considered an asset. Success in this position requires emotional intelligence; building and maintaining relationships; An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
