Make a difference in the lives of seniors as a Mental Health Specialist at AgeCare. Focus on assisting residents with complex mental health needs through a strength-based approach. In this role within AgeCare’s Long Term Care, Mental Health specialty program, you will be an integral part of the interdisciplinary team.

You should have a diploma in Community/Mental Health and at least 2 years of experience in a similar setting. Your ability to foster overall well-being and facilitate social integration will be key as you support residents aged 18 and older. Key Responsibilities:

- Work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team
- Provide symptom support to residents with mental health needs
- Assist in the psycho-social recovery process
- Build rapport to enhance residents’ problem-solving skills
- Report unsafe behaviors to maintain a protected environment Requirements:
- Diploma in Community or Mental Health studies
- 2+ years experience in mental health or addictions
- Skilled in crisis intervention and behavior management
- Strong team skills and observation proficiency
