About the opportunity
Join a leading Islamic school dedicated to nurturing children’s academic growth, character, and love of learning through Montessori education and Islamic values.
We are seeking a caring, organized Montessori Teacher & Academic Coordinator who can create an engaging classroom environment and support high-quality teaching across our early years program.
Priority will be given to candidates who can teach foundational values of Islam age-appropriate Sunnah practices.

Key responsibilities
Teaching and classroom leadership
- Prepare and deliver engaging Montessori lessons that support each child’s academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development.
- Maintain a calm, welcoming, and well-organized classroom that encourages independence and curiosity.
- Teach foundational Islam, daily du‘as, short surahs, and Qur’an recitation with attention to correct pronunciation and Tajweed.
- Help children understand and practise age-appropriate Islamic manners and Sunnah habits, including kindness, cleanliness, gratitude, and respect.
- Observe student progress and adapt lessons to different learning needs.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents.
Academic coordination
- Support teachers with lesson planning, classroom practices,
and curriculum implementation.
- Coordinate learning goals, assessments, and student progress reporting.
- Help integrate Islamic learning naturally into the Montessori program.
- Organize teaching resources, academic activities, and staff planning meetings.
- Work with school leadership to maintain a safe, nurturing environment and consistent educational standards.
Qualifications and skills
- Montessori training or certification, with relevant classroom experience.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and child-centred teaching.
- Ability to teach Arabic foundations and Qur’an recitation accurately; Tajweed proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Islamic manners and Sunnah practices, with the ability to explain them gently and meaningfully to young children.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Experience mentoring teachers or coordinating an academic program is an asset.
- Relevant early childhood education or teaching qualifications are an asset.
- Ability to meet applicable school safeguarding and background-check requirements.
