Company Description Manchester Rose Primary & Preventive Care is a Nurse Practitioner–led clinic located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, funded under the new NPPCP program. The clinic focuses on accessible primary and preventive health services for diverse patient populations.

Care is offered through scheduled appointments, walk-ins, call-outs, and house calls to support patients in different settings. Services include WCB, veterans, RCMP, refugee, out-of-province, and out-of-country care, as well as private pay elective services. Team members work in a collaborative environment dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Role Description This is a full time, on-site Nurse Practitioner role based in Sherwood Park, AB.

The Nurse

Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary and preventive care, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. Daily responsibilities include conducting in-clinic appointments and walk-in visits, coordinating call-outs and house calls, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and delivering evidence-based interventions. The role also involves patient education, care coordination with other healthcare professionals, documentation in the medical record, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Practitioner will support diverse patient groups, including WCB, veterans, RCMP, refugees, and private pay clients, while maintaining high standards of safety, ethics, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Alberta and eligibility to practice in a primary care setting.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions across diverse populations.
- Strong skills in patient education, health promotion, and preventive care, including chronic disease management and lifestyle counseling.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation, use of electronic medical records, and adherence to regulatory and practice standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload, including appointments, walk-ins, call-outs, and house calls, with sound clinical judgment and time management.
- Experience or comfort working with WCB, veterans, RCMP, refugees, and private pay services is an asset.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent Nurse Practitioner preparation; experience in primary care or family practice preferred.
