Occupational Therapist - Community Transitions Department: OPCZ STRAT-ALT HOUSING BRIDGE-DGH Posting Closing Date: 11-Sep-26 Reporting to the Manager Community Transitions, the Occupational Therapist provides consultation, assessment, treatment and follow-up of clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity and leisure for clients in the community throughout Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health.

The Occupational

Therapist provides intervention to address clients' occupational performance components (physical, cognitive and/or affective).

The Occupational

Therapist provides education and support to clients, families and caregivers. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.

The Occupational

Therapist is a member of the Community Occupational Therapy - Physiotherapy Team and liaises with Continuing Care, multidisciplinary hospital care teams and community agencies and service providers. The Bridge is a shelter where health and social supports are available in a way that is trauma-informed, grounded in harm reduction, and culturally safe, honoring each guest's lived experience and autonomy while fostering dignity, compassion, connection, and choice. Graduate of a C.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy Licensed or eligible for licensurewith the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS) Minimum 2 years' experience practicing as an Occupational Therapist Community experience is preferred Valid Nova Scotia driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required for home/community visits Competencies in other languages an asset,
