Role Description This full-time Occupational Therapist role is an on-site position located in Canada.
The Occupational
Therapist will assess clients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs, and develop individualized treatment plans to improve daily functioning and independence. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting evaluations, implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care. The role involves educating clients, families, and caregivers on strategies, assistive devices, and home programs that support rehabilitation goals.
The Occupational
Therapist will also maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in case conferences, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the facility.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation to assess, plan, and deliver client-centered therapeutic interventions.
- Foundational knowledge of Medicine to understand diagnoses, treatment plans, and how they impact functional outcomes.
- Strong Communication skills for interacting with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Experience or interest in Pediatrics for working with children and youth requiring developmental or rehabilitative support.
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for licensure or registration as an Occupational Therapist in the applicable Canadian province or territory.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical setting, manage a wide-ranging caseload, and adapt interventions to diverse client needs.
- Commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
